CMS Media Sound-off

During the drivers I watched on NASCAR.com's live feed in the media center at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Sunday's race should be nothing less than extreme.

Martin Truex Jr.-
During Truex's short but impressive Q & A session he talked about his preparation and expectations for this weekend. Trues said the Coca-Cola 600 definitely ranked up there with the big ones.
"It's one of the toughest tracks we go to. By the end of the night the race track is totally different."
When asked to contrast the styles of his current crew chief Pat Tryson, with that of former crew chief Kevin 'Bono' Manion, Trues answered,
"Their different in a lot of ways. I wouldn't say they were night and day. They go about their personalities are a little bit different. Bono is a little more quiet, strict. If you do something wrong he'll yell at you. You know Pat's a little more laid back, kinda likes to have fun. Both of them do a great job obviously, and they're both good at calling races and understanding the race car as well. They're different, yeah, but at the end of the day they're still out their doing the same job, and they're doing it well."

Denny Hamlin-
Poor Denny Hamlin can't catch a break from the drama that is Kyle Busch (how do you not love him though?!?). Both drivers had much to say about the 'incident' during the All Star Race. Buch believes Kyle took his line and cut him off, while Hamlin says he had the lead and felt like he could win so their was no way he was just going to give Bush the lead. Hamlin stated his focus was and will continue to be on how to beat teams such as the #'s 48, 24, 18, and 31 every week.
Hamlin took a few more jabs at his Gibbs teammate saying that until Bush did the same thing he would not be a Championship caliber team.
