Johnson's win Sunday makes his 2nd victory this season, of which only 3 races have been run, and also made him the new all-time winning-est driver on 1.5 mile tracks. Breaking the tie between himself, Jeff Gordon, and Dale Earnhardt.
The topic now is if it is good for a sport like this for only one person to win everything. Yes it's cool that he won 4 championships in a row, and he's an excellent driver, with an excellent crew chief. You can't knock his driving abilities.
However, for those non JJ fans it gets old week after week not only watching him win, but then the rest of the week all the media talks about is JJ, and then come the weekend what do we get....ah but more JJ coverage.
I hope this is not a foreshadowing of the rest of the season because honestly Las Vegas was boring to watch. With really only 2 major wrecks, the most interesting things that came from Sunday were malfunctioning caution lights, and of course Jaun Pablo can always be counted on for colorful interviews.
Hopefully, Atlanta will be more exciting, which is of course what this sports spectator's enjoy. Nothing beats a finish with less than a 1,000th of a second difference in finishes.
